  • Biomedical Electronics
    • Study and apply the state-of-the-art (micro-)electronics technologies to the Biomedical Engineering field, especially in health care instrumentation, wearable devices and exercise physiology
    • Provide electronics technical support to other research areas in the laboratory
    • Biomedical Sensor development

  • Biomedical Electromagnetism
    • Study the electromagnetism features in biology, especially in human bodies
    • Theoretically support the communication requirement of “Body Area Network” (BAN), for health care and wearable devices

  • Neural Engineering
    • Connecting the “human brain” to directly control the computer, implemented by analyzing the “brain wave” to interpret commands from the user
    • Through "Neurofeedback" to study the human attention and athlete perfromance improvement

  • Exercise Physiology
    • Study how exercise alters the structure and function of the human body mainly by monitoring the exercise ECG, EMG, EEG, O2, CO2 and respiratory air flow measurements, to assess the health and the metabolic conditions
